Why Vegetarian?

Farming today is not grazing animals living off the earth as it used to be. Modern animal farming practices are mistreating animals and our environment. Meat production is just that, producing meat in huge factory farms, with no regard to the rights of animals or our planet. Factory farms, where ninety percent of the meat in the US comes from, produce a toxic environment. Animals are pumped with growth hormones and steroids. They are living in feces and disease where they are fed other animals, even of their own kind, which is totally out of the animals natural state. Animals are tortured and mistreated to make "production" quicker and easier. This is unnatural and not how farming was intended to be.
Factory farms employ migrant workers being payed minimum wage or worse. Worker injuries and sickness are tremendous. Meat is wrong for the animals, wrong for the environment, and wrong for humans.
